Dutch Supermarkets and Diesel Monday 7th of August 2006 Albert Heijn, Netherlands: 7:00 Really like these NL supermarkets. Got a big sesame loaf, enough egg salad for 4 sarnies, a litre of yogurt (2 pints), a 1.5L carton of water, a huge bag of paprika crisps and a jar of gherkins for 3 euros. Boerenwit bread is lovely, with or without sesame seeds. Diesel costs much the same in euro as it does in pounds, tho it gets more expensive with every new country. In Norway a small beer costs ?10, and diesel is still cheaper than crazy uk prices.
